Pharmacist Tips On Using

How to Take: Follow instructions provided by physician/pharmacy label, store at room temperature.  Remove contact lens prior to administration, apply light pressure to lacrimal sac (inside corner of eye near nose) for 60 seconds after application to prevent drainage of the drop from eye and wait at least 10 minutes before reinserting contact lenses.
You Need to Avoid: Do not touch tip of applicator to any surfaces or to the eye itself to avoid contamination. Do not use if solution changes color or becomes cloudy. Do not insert contacts if eyes are red.

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. What do I do if I am prescribed multiple eyedrops at the same time?
If they are to be administered at the same time, wait at least 10 minutes between each kind of drop to allow time for medication to absorb into eye.  Applying two different drops too close to each other will cause dilution of each resulting in a reduced effect of both.
  2. What do I do if any of the product is ingested?
Accidental ingestion by children of over-the-counter (OTC) imidazoline-derivative eye drops and nasal sprays may result in serious harm. Serious adverse reactions (eg, coma, bradycardia, respiratory depression, sedation) requiring hospitalization have been reported in children ≤5 years of age who had ingested even small amounts (eg, 1 to 2 mL). Contact a poison control center and seek emergency medical care immediately for accidental ingestion (FDA Drug Safety Communication 2012).
